Our Dogs are still mainly young pups, so this year's class was very selective and small. It was highlighted by the signing of S Alvin Hines. Hines is a 3-Star Rivals player and had offers(actually in hand) from Auburn, Kentucky, UCF, UAB, and Western Ky. His ESPN evaluation grade was 78. He joins a kicker, two LBs, 3 OLs, 2 WRs, and a CB. We're all probably tired of reading bios, but if you wanna, here they are:

You guys dropped your average team weight with these recruits - doesn't your line average about 310? xlolx

Looks like some good pickups.

Hated to lose the Spiller kid to Samford, was hopeful he would stick with Gardner-Webb. With that said, it's important for these kids to make their choice on what's best for them as they and their families determine. Each school will almost always have another kid lined up to take the spot of the recruit lost and I don't ever recall hearing a school saying they signed someone they didn't really want. So in the end it works out best when both the player and school can say they feel good about the outcomes even though the fans can get disappointed at time.

I think our one OL signee-Schmalhofer- had an offer from Samford too. Coach Sullivan is a first class person.
