Montana State should be in the playoffs; they shut down Montana just as Eastern did, and have the same record in the Big Sky. They probably want it more too. The only reason Montana got the bid was their image; overrated. Image+23,000 capacity stadium+die hards=$$$ for NCAA

Damn SE174 that was pretty harsh coming from a team that needed UM to lose so you could get in!!! After the cat loss the one positive most griz fans found was that 2 big sky teams got in because of the loss. Sorry we have great fan support and can submit bids for games. Good luck in the playoffs and i hope if the Griz can't win it all you guys can. To bad you can't show a little respect for us.

Screamin_Eagle174,
Don't go calling Montana overated, you and all of your other fans seem to think you are gonna walk into the UNI-Dome this weekend and hand it to us mostly due to the fact "you beat Montana at Wash Griz, har har har", now you are calling them overated so which is it, are they the greatest team in the world that you are basing your run in the playoffs at or an overated team that should not have gotten into the playoffs? I can tell you one team that isn't overated and thats the one you are playing Saturday, 3 top 12 victories the last 4 weeks. We are peaking!
See ya Saturday!

The Patriot League is 2-1 vs. your wonderful Gateway. Colgate lost in the second year of PL eligibility. And then, Lehigh walked into W. Illinois and destroyed them in 2000. Colgate beat W. Illinois in 2003 enroute to the final. Give me a break.

2-1 all time...last meeting in '03. I'd have to say that this statistic is useless at the present time. Top to bottom, the Gateway is better than the PL. Anyone who doubts that is living in dreamland. ;)

I still believe that it will be difficult for a 4 lose team to get into the playoffs even with the change in the selection process to 7 D-1 wins will get you considered. The committee members are still going to give 9-2 South Carolina St, or 9-2 Coastal Carolina, or 8-3 Lafayette, or 8-3 Lehigh the last spots as opposed to a 4 lose team that does not win an autobid. The 4 lose teams thought they had a chance by the change, but until I see one actually chosen, I think it is a pipe dream. (This statement in no way tries to figure out why Lafayette is in and YSU is out though)

Montana State's losses were to Oklahoma State by 5, Portland State, Cal Poly, and EWU. The Big Sky is rated higher than the Gateway. The cats deserved in more than Youngstown.
As for the Griz, they were perhaps a little overated at #2, but so what if that's due to reputation, they've earned it. And I'll say it again, the Big Sky is the #1 rated conference. If the Griz figure out an offense, I can see them getting by Poly and and all the way into the semi's if they get GSU in Missoula. Their D is awesome, and Wa Griz stadium IS all it's cracked up to be.
So how's that for showing the Griz some love, ronbo? Of course I do have them losing in the semi's at EASTERN WASHINGTON's Grizzly Stadium to you know who.
In the interim, Go 1-AA West!

Rather a down year for many in I-AA, the A10 included. But Richmond is the ninth different A10 team to make the playoffs in the last four years.
2002: Villanova, Northeastern, Maine

EWU, or should I say, a healthy EWU is a force to be reckoned with and definitely has a shot to go all the way with how you can put points on the board. The Eagles are one team I don't want to face again but I think if we did it wouuld be in Missoula because of the bidding process..
