The first edition of the projecting the field is here. I know that these projections will change throughout the season. This is the best time of the year for me. I'm loving it. They are projecting a WKU defending the Sun Belt championship and a 12 seed yet again. Remember what happened last time a WKU was a 12? Projecting Syracuse will WKU's next victim. Unfortunately, they have all 3 Kentucky in the same region. Louisville as a 2, Kentucky as a 4, and Western Kentucky as a 12. :D Hehehehehe........ xlolx

Temple on the last four out list right now which isn't bad. Atleast we're on peoples radar. We have a big 4 game stretch where we could go 4-0. Will it happen? I dunno. But it would certaintly help.

The MVC champion a 14 seed? Well that's just a little ridiculous. In 2006 as an at large, UNI was the 10 seed.

Predicts Oral Roberts to win the Summit, and be in the play-in game... I hope he is wrong....

there's one thing right SWAC = play in game.

I'll be thrilled if FSU gets a 7 seed. Hell I'll be thriled just to see them in the dance.

Joe Lunardi has had had tournament projections here since December (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology). Don't see how the CBS guy can pick ORU out of the Summit when they have a worse everything (Conference record, overall record, and RPI) and have lost head to head to NDSU but they're projections and neither team has a shot at an at large so it's a moot point.

Kentucky as a No. 4 seed out of that SEC? He must have them going just about undefeated the rest of the way.

FWIW, I think a lot of people see most of the mid-major conferences as "down" this year. I expect the tournament to be filled with BCS conference schools and there won't be many two bid leagues among the middies.

I find it funny that Lunardi has Western Michigan in as the MAC representative. Sure, they're 3-1 in conference play, but 6-10 overall, and they lost to some pretty bad teams.

But anyway, it's still January.
