HARRISONBURG - For as bold and blunt as he often is in his responses to media questions, Matt Brady typically doesn't predict the outcome of games. But the James Madison basketball coach came close this week.

Brady didn't go so far as to say the Dukes would win today's 7 p.m. Colonial Athletic Association game against Towson at the Convocation Center, but...

"It's a game we should win," Brady said. "There's not many of those on our schedule I would tell you we should win it. This is a game we should win. No matter who's on the floor for us on Wednesday night, if we bring it and play with more offensive efficiency and we connect at a higher level than 20 percent from 3-point range, this is a game we should win. So, Wednesday night, we should win the game."
And if they don't...

"What happens after that, I think it's related to how we do on Wednesday," he said. "If we don't win on Wednesday, I wouldn't say that we should win on Saturday."

Someone should remind him what happened on the 3rd (http://www.towsontigers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=101517&SPID=12510&DB_OEM_ID=21300&ATCLID=3640060).

...and thanks for the bulletin board material!

Wow, JMU has a knack for hiring outspoken coaches.

Since the 3rd (when Towson came from behind to win by 1) TU is 1-4, JMU is 4-1. Also, JMU (the best team in the CAA from behind the arc) shot 1 for 15 on the 3d. Given that he qualified his statement with a lot of "ifs", it's not too far out of line. It is definitely a game we SHOULD win.

Andy just wanted to point out that Towson beat JMU in SOMETHING this year. :p

What's the big deal? We won.

None of that tippy-toe BS. He's not being disrespectful, he just said his team should win.

The article I read from ESPN made it sound like the game was closer than the score indicated.
