Last year Green Bay beat the NY Giants 35-13 during the regular season too, but that didn't get them to the Super Bowl either.

I'll do you one better, Cowboys swept the Giants last year. No NFC title.

Only problem is, the Pats were the 7th seed this year in the AFC playoffs. But hey, they'll draft in the middle of the first round this year.

I'm a Pats fan and i don't know why the crying. IMO the Pats were one of the 5 or 6 best teams in football but they lost out fair and square. I doubt they would have made the Super Bowl. I think they could have willed out an AFC Title game maybe. But either way they weren't winning the crown so atleast they got a jump on the off season. Hopefully they'll be hungry as ever next year and Brady comes back healthy. They're secondary i think is pretty good. That was a weakness but they improved a ton throughout the season. LB and DL would be my biggest concern. Mayo is a stub but Vrable and Bruschi's days are numbered. Same with DL. Seymour has been solid but not great that last 2 years. He's getting older as is Wilfolk. A RB would be nice but i think you can get by in todays NFL without a stud as long as you have depth.

First off just to be clear and this aint directed at you but everyone whos posted here.... I wasnt whining.... notice the 12 or so laughing icons around my post.... :p

Now to get into what you said about the Pats.

The secondary is horrible, it was a mistake letting Samuel leave, they will have to target a strong CB in free agency this year. Merriwether at safety though is getting much better and he was probably the lone bright spot in the secondary, though some of the younger guys certainly can improve as time goes on.

Mayo is great, they do need to get more youth at LB though. Thomas is still good and Ruud and Crable can add some needed youth if they can stay away from injuries next season.

re-signing Lamont Jordan is a must, he was very very effective for the Pats and having a group of Maroney, Morris, Jordan and Faulk will make the running game even better next year, assuming Maroney can stay healthy and if Jordan can as well.

I would be surprised if the Pats used a draft pick before round 6 on offense, they should use everything on defense.

I really don't buy that the secondary is horrible. Deltha is an over the hill slug BUT outside of him there's a lot of good. Ellis Hobbs is a first rate NFL CB. He's one of my favorite players on the team. Wilhite showed a lot of promise as the year went on. During the last 5 or 6 games he was a key contributer. Meriweather is a first rate SS and Sanders was a solid FS. In all honesty i hope Harrison does not come back. The secondary's problem is depth.

It doesn't matter how many laughing icons you put around it, we can tell your whining by just creating the thread.

Hey now, my favorite team went 18-1 in their best season, too.

Older Patriot fans might remember that 18th win, too.
