Cards up 14-3 as the former Minnesota Vikings ball-boy (aka Larry Fitzgerald) comes down with another TD.

The problem is they ruled it out of bounds immediately on the field
I have to believe it's the same as an inadvertant whistle. The play's considered dead there, right or wrong xtwocentsx

Thing is, no one really has "an answer" for them. Larry is the best receiver in football, no questions asked.

Clearly there are some answers. The Cards did lose 7 games this year, including that one to the Eagles back in November (with Warner and Fitzgerald)
Whatever Arizona is doing today, Philadelphia just isn't getting to them
Though as I type this, the Eagles are driving...

They most likely blew the whistle when they judged that the ball had gone out of bounds. Thus players could have let up when they heard the whistle (as they are SUPPOSED to do), which could have affected the outcome of who recovered the loose ball.

Cardinals started off strong on offense because they had a good mix of running game, which set up the passes.
In the second half, they seemed to abandon the run game. And their offense lost momentum.
On the flip side, the Eagles seem to have made good defensive adjustments which have given the Arizona offensive line fits. And they've made good offensive adjustments too.
I'm not feeling so good right now. C'mon Arizona, turn it back around!

Nope. I've never been to Arizona.

As an Eagles fan, this postseason has been a treat. After starting the season 5-5-1 and having the slimmest of chances of even making the playoffs, they humiliated the Dallas Cowboys 44-6 to end their season and won two playoff games after that.
Even today, they were written off at halftime and made all the bandwagon Cardinals fans poopy in their pants a little when they scored 19 unanswered to take the lead.
The Eagles were playing with house money and it finally ran out, but it was a fun ride while it lasted.xthumbsupx

I never pay much attention to NFL football until the playoffs and especially after college football is over. Nowdays I always kind of decide who to pull for at that point. I'm pulling for the Cardinals because of Kurt Warner and other I-AA/FCS involvement. Maybe I'd have pulled for the Eagles if Bryan Smith had been getting any playing time.
I really like Warner because of what he had to go through to get a shot. You've got a guy who never would've seen the field in a meaningful situation if Trent Green hadn't gotten hurt for the Rams who went on to be an MVP and a really solid NFL quarterback. To me it's pretty obvious that NFL talent evaluators were wrong about him many times.

They were even worse in the Steelers/Ravens game, believe it or not. The 15-yarder for roughing the punter on Balt was a huge, huge blown call. Mitch Berger was never touched. There were multiple questionable pass interference calls on both teams, one prompting Steelers fans to chant BS on national TV for a good minute. Then there was egregious holding on the Steelers on many occasions. I watched one play in the fourth quarter where one of the Ravens D-linemen had both of his hands pulled behing him by two Steelers O-linemen. His torso was two feet in front of his hands and his legs were still digging but he was going nowhere and NO CALL! People wonder why Roethlisberger was sacked 8 times in the Eagles game earlier in the year and then goes off with a clean uniform versus the Ravens defense yesterday.
The NFL really needs to let some of these senior citizens enjoy an early retirement. They are pathetic.

Yeah that game had a lot of I-AA/FCS players. I pretty much pull for Warner though. Beyond the fact that he played I-AA and had to go through what he had to go through to get a shot before showing himself to be a really elite NFL quarterback, he's just so calm and cool on the field and under pressure. It's like you look at him and his expression hardly ever changes while the game is on. You can almost see the wheels turning in his head, the thinking going on. To me he's a very cerebral quarterback and I like that. He's got the physical skills but when he's on his game he beats people by recognizing what they're doing and burning them on it. To me it's fun to watch.

I stated this opinion prior to the game. The Eagles were not able to match up with the Arizona offense... Sheldon Brown looked like a fool again. I thought it was pretty cool on 3rd & 1 during Arizona's final drive how Gocong stood up Hightower for the stop... of course at that point you have to go for it on 4th and Hightower gets the 1st down and a few plays later, the game winning TD.

After 24 hours, I think your take, above, is a good way to look at it; but, still it was so frustrating to see the Eagles season being replayed within a single game. Start out mediocre, become horrible, then kick into gear with amazing execution that was totally lacking in the first half, only to stumble at the end. If the Eagles had pulled off the comeback, it would have tied the largest deficit ever overcome in a conference championship game.
After watching, I'm sure Tra Thomas is history. He really was getting beat or made mental errors that an experienced player like him should not make.
I also agree with the horrendous 'no-calls' that occured. Still, it was the Eagles' fault for putting themselves in the position to have the game balance on the call of an official.
