GAINSVILLE Fla. (AP) - Tim Tebow is coming back.

The Florida quarterback told a crowd celebrating the school's latest national title that he wants to lead the Gators to another championship.

Tebow thrilled the crowd by saying: "Oh, by the way let's do it again. I'm coming back."

Bah, it's because he knows he will stink it up in the NFL now and needs to up his draft stock. No way Tebow can play QB productively in the NFL.

Yea this has nothing to do with him still wanting to be at Florida, he realizes he will be a nobody in the NFL.

Wow, it's funny how people think they know a kid.

Did Tyler Hansbrough stay at Carolina because he didn't think he could make it in the pros?

Athletes like Tebow think they can make it no matter what. They're the most confident people on this planet.

Tim Tebow doesn't need the money. He's a god in a Gainesville. He probably loves the college life. His team is really really good. I don't blame him at all for coming back.

Edit: Just noticed the two comments were both from people who were fans of teams that are rivals to Florida. Should've figured that.

I'm not surprised, you can be sure it's not all about his draft stock. That kid loves UF he gets to spend another year in the QB house.

Just stating the obvious, Tebow's style of QB isn't built and doesn't work in the NFL. And yes... I am xhomerx

I don't know the guy, I just know how he plays.

Well its very obvious. He made the right move to stay at Florida.

He may have other reasons for staying but I don't think he is an early pick so I don't see a reason for him to leave early. I also don't think he'll play QB in the NFL. He seems more like a FB or TE to me and a later round pick if he leaves this year. If that's true, he is making the right move to stay another year.

(And I like Florida so I am not saying that because I don't like him)

I don't think he'll be great, but I do think he'll at least get a shot a QB. Watching both play in college I think he's similar to McNair. And this is coming from an archrival and self proclaimed Gator hater.

I think He'd be perfect in Miami with the Wildcat offense.

Yup, don't see him moving to another position. FB is a stretch, TE maybe... The only teams Tebow would be a good QB on would be ones that don't rely heavily on the pass (i.e. Steelers, Panthers, Titans, etc.). I think he could have a huge impact on teams like this....

A) the Panthers could use him (offensively I don't see what else they need besides another QB)

B) IMO the only team that will think to use him as a QB first is Miami to make the Wildcat a more consistent threat.

Precisely, these are the only offenses he can function in... putting him on the panthers with Williams, Stewarts, and Smith would be ridiculous... thing is... they'd have to get him somehow. These are the only offenses Tebow can work in, and he can be great there... I just don't think his stock now or in the future will make him one of the quarterbacks we remember in the future like Unitas, Marino, Montana, Elway, etc.

That would be quite awesome and could set a huge trend in the NFL if he was specifically drafted for the Wildcat formation where his team ran it almost all the time. Put two QBs in, one who has a quicker arm but lacks the power run, and Tebow who could throw but also run in designed plays frequently.
