Carolina is following Tennessee's (and Plexico Burress') example, and shooting themselves in the foot (with turnovers, in this case).

And Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald have been able to capitalize on it.
(and of course, Edgeron James and Tim Hightower as well)

Delhome is up to SIX turnovers. wow.
(granted, one of them was on a tip, and not his fault. but still)

I'd be very surprised if he had a job next year.

Delhome was absolutely terrible. He might be the most inconsistent QB in the NFL the last 4-5 years. He's great for 5-6 weeks then he goes into the tank for a 3-4. I think Carolina really has to evaluate their QB situation.

No kidding. And this was without Boldin. The Panthers had one guy to stop, and they still couldn't do it.

Just wait until next week. AZ is looking more and more like a Super Bowl contender. And guess what, the run game actually works Ken (Whisenhunt), whodathunkit? xeyebrowx

I don't think he's overrated. People jumped on his bandwagon following the Super Bowl but that cooled off pretty quick. Delhome reminds me a little of Rich Gannon or even Drew Bledsoe. Although Gannon atleast has an MVP and Bledsoe some gaudy numbers.

Well, the initial tip was off the hands of an Arizona DB (Rodgers-Cromartie, I think), so I'm not feeling sorry for him on that one, even though it did deflect off a Carolina player after that.

In any case, boy, was he terrible.

The question is with all these retractable roofs anymore what constitutes a dome team? Because if one considers Arizona a dome team i'll say based on history they got no shot. The Rams are the only Dome to win a Super Bowl but that game was also played in a Dome. Although Kurt Warner was the QB..

Easy to forget them considering they were totally out of the AFC Championship game at half time that year.... xbawlingx xbawlingx xbawlingx xbawlingx

We absolutely SUCKED tonight...if we had come back to win, we definitely would not have deserved it. I turned the game off before halftime, it was so bad.

I've been giving Jake a chance for years now, but it may be time to look in another direction at QB. It also may be time to look in another direction at kicker - I'm not too thrilled with John Kasay anymore, either (not that he impacted tonight's game, but he definitely didn't do us any favors vs. the Giants or in Super Bowl 38 a few years ago).

I had a 10 min discussion w/ someone at halftime who always defends Jake. Keeps saying that HE's the reason they're in the playoffs to begin with xeyebrowx Bulls#!% On the brightside, I won $50 because I bet that they would not win at least one playoff game this year. I have now picked up $250.00 over the last 5-6 years always betting against the team w/ black cats on their helmetsxsmiley_wix

That was a 50 yard FG with some pretty brisk wind, and he still almost made it. Nothing wrong with that, Kasey's a solid kicker xnodx

I disagree. Kasay is a solid kicker in the same way that Mike Vanderjagt was a solid kicker - great for every kick except the really, really, REALLY important ones.

I'm not saying he should be fired outright, but I am saying that he's made some costly mistakes in the past, too. If the Panthers are going to start looking at getting younger at some positions, they may want to start looking at a suitable replacement for Kasay. xtwocentsx

Fair enough, he's your team's kicker and you certainly see him more than I do. Based on the games I've watched closely this year, the Browns should be in the Super Bowl ;)

I was just saying though, if you're going to list kicks Kasey should have made, the one in the Giants game shouldn't be on the list. That was a very tough kick given the conditions xpeacex

Jake Delhomme and Jason Campbell are twins. Both should be flogged unmercifully.

my surprise team to make it to the superbowl.

Arizona vs. Pitt.

Except the team that I was surprised with has been Ravens. I guess I shouldn't be, but I Was being a homer and rooting for the Dolphins so looked right over them.
