I was willing to give him another season to get the defense on his page maybe with some of his players, but I guess someone wasn't happy with the arrangement

There wasn't any replacement for either Pat Nolan (underrated DT) or Mike Gallihugh (another in the recent line of great 'Gate LBs) and the defense suffered without their abilities. Maybe the freshman Carbone could be that guy in the coming seasons....
