A couple of my co-workers are considering driving over the mountain to catch Stephen Curry play App. State next Monday night. Right now, there appears to be a good number of tickets available for the game. Do any App. State fans know if this will be the case Monday night? i.e., will we be able to walk up and get tickets or should we purchase them ahead of time?
I may or may not be going since I've gotta be in Knoxville all day.

Walk up should be no problem.

The HCC holds 8500. Maybe a crowd of 5500 to 6000 max. If you have a VIC card (Harris Teeter) you can get seats for $8.00. Went to the game at Davidson last year. Belk Arena is a fun place to catch a game.

We never sell out games. We had 5K for Davidson last year and that was our largest home crowd of the year. Should be more this year but still seats should be available.

We did sell out one. UNC. But yes pitiful crowd, though larger than normal.
Wished it wasn't on a weekday.

I would probably go ahead and get your tickets ahead of time. I doubt the game sells out... but I wouldn't want to wait in lines and such.
I just hope Appalachian puts up a decent fight. We did ok last year... were in the game until the last 5 minutes or so (if I remember right).
Oh, and Duke sucks. ;)

Went to see Curry and Davidson play last week vs College of Charleston at the new Carolina First Arena. The new arena holds 5400 and it was packed.
Good game, CofC lost at the end 79-75. Curry hit free throws down the stretch for the W, finishing with 29 points.

Saw this on the MMB
For those of you planning on attending the App State vs Davidson Monday night at 7:30, need to either have tickets or jump on getting them online at Goasu.com as soon as possible. Just poking around on that site the remaining number of tickets is slim. Only single tickets are available in lower endzone sections. Upper sidelines Sections 10 and 12 online have a combined 16 tickets left. Upper 11 is full. Everything else is upper endzone or upper corner.

What this message doesn't mention is that the upper sections not listed have been the ones tarped this year so people will sit in the lower levels (and so there doesn't have to be as many arena staff on duty when it's not necessary). They'll untarp those sections if needed and it might be needed here. Davidson will bring a ton of people as well as it's only 2 hours away.
Our record for attendance for a game is the sellout vs UNC mentioned (8,350) and the second highest is the Davidson game in 2003 which was around 5K. This should easily get more than 5K.

If only the UNC/Wake tickets were as easy to get though, finding it impossible without losing 2 arms and a leg.
Do think App has a chance, need to do what Dook did last night, force Curry to drive and get his jumpshot out of sync.

So you are from New Jersey? xsmiley_wix
We actually went to a Ben Folds concert at Duke Chapel and my buddy (UNC Grad) says as we are standing in line with all the Duke students:
"Im sure they are glad they don't have to have a paasport to get here from New Jersey"
