Mountain Hawks beat #14 Penn State at State College today before several thousand in Rec Hall, 17-16. Each team won 5 bouts, but Lehigh had one more bonus point. Lehigh also suffered an upset loss at 174 where favored Alex Caruso was headbutted and suffered a severe gash above and below his eye. He was leading by two at the time, but rather than default, returned to the mat and gamely battle, only to lose in sudden victory, overtime, 7-5. Seth Ciasulli made up for the loss points with his upset win at 141 over Molinaro, by a 3-2 score. Lehigh had 16 Takedowns to the Nittany Lions 10.
