Ole Miss is up 38-21 right now. For some reason i'm not surprised by this. Ole Miss has a good amount of talent and Snead is pretty darn good. Nutt is probably one of the most underated coaches out there as well. I thought the Big 12's big 4 had a good chance to go 0-4 in their bowls. We'll see what happens...

Harrell's gotten away with intentional grounding at least twice. One thing I can tell from him this game though is that he does not take pressure from a pass rush well. I mean, a good pass rush hurts any QB but I said all year that just about any decent quarterback could put up big numbers playing in the offense he plays in getting the kind of protection he was getting. Now he's getting a little heat and he looks pretty darned average.

The Big 12 teams just haven't been as physical as the other teams. Northwestern is far from physical and they smacked around Missouri for the most part. Oregon took over their game in trenches in the 4th quarter against Okie State. The SEC and Pac 10 teams have the best combo of speed and strength IMO.

Agree about Mississippi being underrated. If they win this game, I'll be happy that I will no longer be hearing about the Florida loss to Ole Miss. Not only that, but Ole Miss will be able to say they beat two BCS bowl teams... both of which kind of had claims to the NC game. I'm with you on the 0-4 aspect also... LET'S GO SEC!!! haha

Safety was nice but I'd have rather seen Ole Miss get the TD. It was looking like Texas Tech's defense was getting worn out. We'll see if it keeps looking like that.

Anyone else think that safety should have been a touchdown? Looked to me like Harrell fumbled the ball out of the back of the endzone. xconfusedx

Well, I WILL say that I was wondering all year how much of what we saw from Big 12 offenses was great offense and how much was weak defense and so far I'm developing the impression that weak defense was indeed a factor. I didn't see the Kansas/Minnesota game but Missouri only had 286 total yards and 17 offensive points at the end of regulation against Northwestern while Northwestern had like 370.
Now I'm watching Texas Tech and, though they've been pretty good on offense, 21 offensive points at this point of the game isn't mind boggling by any means and on the other hand Ole Miss is pushing their defense around pretty good.
Course they're in the midst of making a pretty good goal line stand. Or at least they were until that #22 burned them again.

I'm happy to say I picked correctly in this game. xlolx The key to beating Texas Tech is being aggressive and physical. Ole Miss ran the ball really well.
