Flacco did well but Ryan clearly deserved it after coming in, taking a leadership role, and leading the Falcons to an 11-5 season with the help of Turner. They were essentially picked to finish near the bottom of all NFL teams this year and completely disproved everyone.

I was pretty sure Ryan would win, but I do think Flacco deserved some votes.

Ryan put up the numbers and got the Falcons into the playoffs; can't ask much more than that from a rookie QB.

Michael who??

Sports fans here were b!tching all afternoon about Flacco not getting any votes. I found it comical.

...with that said, Flaccos numbers were fairly similar and the Ravens also went 11-5 after a dismal 5-11 year in '07. The ratbirds were written off just as much as the Falcons were this pre-season. And with a rookie HC.

I'll never admit it to any punk fan in this town, but I do think he deserved a few votes.

So are you a Ravens fan? xconfusedx Or has a certain situation from the past kept you from enjoying Baltimore football for good.

I'm a Redskins fan. I went to HS in PG County which is right outside DC. You can see my in-laws house from the upper deck of Fed Ex.
I live in Baltimore because 1- I went to Towson 2- its MUCH cheaper than DC 3- it was half way between my job and my wifes when we got married (13 years and 1 day ago)

When the Colts left in the 80's Baltimore was apparently force fed the Redskins. And apparently the whole town HATES anything to do with the Skins. I often think it would be much easier for me to live in Philly or Dallas and be open with my Redskins love.

So I choose to dislike the Ravens. Not the team, because I'm fairly certain its a top flight organization compared to the attrocity Little Danny is running 30 miles to the South. But the GD'ed Ravens fans are out of control.

Rant over.

It is cool here though when the RatBirds make a playoff run, all the buildings down town light up purple. I'll try and find a picture. I saw it last night in person. Very cool.

Got it. I guess the avatar should have given a hint where your loyalties lie. xnodx Being that close, it must be kind of like living in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Carolina, Duke and NC State all within 20 or so miles of each other. Keeps things fun during college hoops season.
