Holy Crap was it windy!! I've never seen wind like that at a football game. We were about 60 miles outside of Orchard Park and it was 64 degrees. By the time we hit the last 30 miles of rural western NY all hell broke lose. The temp was 33 and the winds were rediculous. The highest wind gust at Ralph Wilson Stadium was 75 mph. A large section of the roof on the Bills indoor practice facility was blown off and cinders in the parking lots were breaking car windows. It was absolutely insane!! I opted for a safe haven in someones yard free of flying debri. The Ralph is a great stadium to catch a game. It has a college feel to it and Bills fans are pretty hardcore. The concourse's are a little tight and the bathrooms a little on a light side but i don't worry about that stuff.
The game itself was interesting to say the least. The kicking game was the best part. Gostkowski's 23 yard FG, after the delay to straighten the goalposts, was the highlight. The ball hit a wall of wind and just flew back into the endzone. The Pats completely dominated the game. Fred Jackson was by far the highlight for the Bills. I just can't believe NE is going to miss out on the playoffs. They're easily one of the 6-7 best teams in the league, let alone one of top 12. But that's just the breaks. They'll be back with a avengence next year. 11-5 with all their injuries is nothing to be ashamed of.
Should have pics then...

How about Lindell's 47-yd miss in the first half? It looked pretty crazy on tv. It looked like it was going to miss wide-left, then all of a sudden turned sharply at a right angle, practically, and ended up missing wide-right. Craziest looking trajectory for a kick I've ever seen.

I just saw the replay of that kick and that was crazy. I've never seen a ball have that much movement on it. The end of the half was also pretty entertaining. I have no idea what Jauron was doing running the ball up the middle with no timeouts left. The scuffle and mesurement or lack there of that wasn't handled the best but it shouldn't have mattered. They should have thrown the ball. There was also a drunken idiot that ran on the field in the 3rd quater. That got a good cheer out of crowd.

I caught the 2003 Eagles @ Bills game up there. They have a great tailgate and great fans. Luckily the game was early in the season, so weather was not a factor. Glad you had a good time.
