I know Montana St. is 7-4 but is there any chance of them joining Eastern Washington and Montana in the playoffs?

No.

I am biased, but I believe that the cats deserve a spot, especially after defeating the griz.

They don't count the Div II wins, so the griz ar 7-3 and cats are 7-4

if the cats had played a div II game instead of OK. St, they could have the same record and since they have beaten the griz they would be getting consideration.

Not very likely....

The Cats are a better team this year no doubt, but I dont think it will happen.

I don't think they're necessarily a better team this year. We absolutely killed them last week with half of our starting teams out.

I think it was a rivalry game and they just got up for it more than the Griz did.

Its wierd, because when we played against PSU and Cal poly, Freshman QB Cole Bergquist completed around 66+% of his passes, but after that he started to do worse. I believe in 2007, the griz team will be possible NC contenders.

I am suprised that Montana didn't put a different QB in the second half. No offense, but CB was less than spectacular....

We have no one. I don't know if Washingon's shoulder is better but I would not have wanted him in on that field.

IMHO.....If CAL Poly loses tonight...MSU may get in.

The question is....Is the Committee allowing any 7-4 teams in (who did NOT win their conference!)???? Has there been any 7-4 teams in recently???? If the answer is no, THEN:
I would like to know how everyone feels about Coastal (9-2) losing today & South Carolina State (9-2).

SCSU gets in over any 7-4 team. Coastal's loss completely removes them from consideration.

Well here's to hoping Cal-Poly loses then!

If Cal Poly loses tonight, 7-4 MSU can get in line behind:
8-2 SC State
8-2 Coastal Carolina
8-3 Lafayette
8-3 Lehigh

and 7-4 Cal Poly WHO BEAT THEM!

I think if any 7-4 team were selected,it would be Illinois St. followed by Hofstra.

Why? They are both 8-2 and Coastal beat SCSt. I think either one gets in over any 7-4.

Montana State would smoke most of those teams.

Montana State's resume...

7-3 vs I-AA (one game against I-A and none against DII).
5-2 against Big Sky (ranked the toughest conference in I-AA)
3-1 down the stretch (loss to EWU who is in, win against Montana who is also in)
marquee player in QB Travis Lulay
undefeated at home

the one thing that could kill the Bobcats chances...1-4 on the road with the only win at Weber State.

And it's a shame they probably won't get it in. I don't see the selection committee screwing Cal-Poly twice in a row.
