Ok....so with all the upsets today, what are the atuobids?

Atlantic 10 - New Hampshire
BigSky - Eastern Washington
Gateway - Northern Iowa
MEAC - Hampton
Ohio Valley - Eastern Illinois
Patriot - Colgate
SoCon - Appalachian St.
Southland - Nicholls St (with a win)

Is this correct? If Nicholl's St. were to lose today, who would get the Southland auto-bid? Texas St?

I beleive it is TXSt. if they win today. If TxSt loses, then I think it would be McNeese.

They will be a tough team to deal with.I think a number of people are going to overlook their chances of advancing through the playoffs.

Do you think Texas state will get in with a loss today?

Absolutely not. They will be 6-2 in Div-I with a loss today.

It would be awesome to get another shot at McNeese, if we didn't have so many holding calls this time I think we could take care of them ;-)

Tx State is still on the bubble. Two D-II games will hurt with all of the tough competition this season.

Hmmm, Nicholls St vs GSU would be interesting. Two option teams.

That's a championship game i'd like to see. Could see 1,000 yds rushing between the 2 teams! Nicholls had 458 today. :bang:

It would be interesting but although the teams run the same offense basically, they are definitly different. The Nicholls backs are big power runners while GSU definitly has superior speed. The game would come down to whose defense could throttle the other and since GSU does play against other option teams in league play (Wofford, ???) I would give them somewhat of an advantage there.

I doubt this matchup will happen as I think the Colonels are going to get shipped to a BSC school and their pass defense may not be up for that bombardment.

You're right. I don't like their chances against BCS schools. They already played one.. narrowly lost to lowly Indiana. Imagine if they played Texas! ;)
