Besides the fact that the Griz defense has no answers to stop Richmond, Bobby Hauck made a critical mistake in abandoning his game plan way too early. The Griz O-line can handle the Richmond defense on running plays. Hauck should have given them a heavy dose of Chase Reynolds when they were down 14-0, but, instead he panicked and threw three straight passes without a completion.
As I have stated all season, the Griz offense's use of 5-step drops on all passing plays is their downfall against a good rush like Richmond's. Berquist has zero time to throw. It is painful watching the Griz get outcoached once again in the NC game. Richmond is kicking our butts. But, it would be a much closer game if the coaching were equal.
