WCU gets new head B-ball coach!!!

Big acquisition for the catamounts!!! They will name Larry Hunter head coach in a press conference tomorrow, according the the Asheville Citizen Times.

Hunter was an assistant at NC State under Herb Sendek. He is former head coach of Ohio University, and DIII Wittenberg. He has an over all head coaching record of 509-224. He won a national champion ship at Wittenberg, and went to 4 DIII final fours over all there. At Ohio, he went 204-148, with 12 NCAA tournament appearances. This will be a big lift for the basketball program, and university, I think!!! Go Cats.

ehh....Hunter was in the JMU hunt last year, never made it to the final 6.

I would expect any coach with his experience might have a few skeletons in his closet. His record shows that he knows how to put a consistant winner on the court. Our last Head coach had a carrier record at WCU of 47-98 I believe. I'll take a new coach.
