The Tennessee Titan's CB Cortland Finnegan will be a starter(if I read this article right) in the up-coming NFL Pro Bowl. This info just announced today - that the 2006seventh-round draft choice from Samford has made it big-time in the NFL. This may not be big news for lots of FCS schools, but it is exciting to us Bulldog Fans. We haven't exactly been a major supplier of NFL talent.xlolx

Living in NC we get some of the titans games. Let me be the first to say I have noticed several times that Finnegan is a heck of a player. Very athletic, embarrassed to say i was surprised to see he went to samford :) .

Its good to see hard work and great play rewarded regardless of the players fan fare. I'd want Finnegan on my team any day of the week and this is yet another reason Samford has made a great addition to the SoCon!
