*Gonzaga didn't drop as far as I thought they. You know how they like to punish Mid-Major teams.
*Tennessee dropped like a rock with that loss to Temple. xthumbsupx

Not a great loss by the Zags, but such is life. They've got 3 more OOC games before conference play starts with true road games at Utah and a rematch at Tennessee, plus they get UConn in Seattle. They win those 3, plus the matchup against Memphis in February, and they're probably looking like a #1 seed. They're not going to treat Gonzaga like a mid-major anymore because they've basically morphed out of that classification.

Unless St. Mary's becomes a San Diego of the tournament. I guess you can substitute any other WCC team in its place.

Obviously if they trip up in the WCC then yes, they're looking at a #2 seed. But that's not a bad thing either.

Good game coming up Saturday if you can tear yourself away from bowl games. An undefeated Cuse makes it last challenging non-conference jaunt playing at Memphis.....

I thought the orange deserved to be in the top 5 let alone the top 15 but
then that dropped game to Clev. State and all of a sudden they are gone

Interesting fact about Cleveland State:

This was the first appearance at the Carrier Dome for Cleveland State since upsetting Indiana and St. Joseph's in the first two rounds of the 1986 NCAA tournament.

Wasn't Brown in that same bracket and lost to #1 seed Syracuse in the first round? If I recall the game wasn't pretty.

You must not of seen the way Cleveland State won. Syracuse has played very poorly vs. bad teams this year but still had nice wins vs. Florida and Kansas. I'd go easy on the overrated as of now, they are about 5th or 6th best team in the Big East.

Yes, that was Brown's only march madness appearance so far. Syracuse was a #2 seed, Brown a #15 seed. Syracuse won 101-52, but lost in the second round to Navy, led by David Robinson, who beat Cleveland State in the Sweet 16.

Ugh, the Mouse roars again on a freaking 60-footer.

That and Devendorf may be gone by the time Big East games roll around.

It's all on the Devendorf situation for Cuse...if he's gone they are barely a tournament team, at best.

That loss last night was coming for a while considering the way they fell behind against Richmond, UVA and Cornell earlier in the year.
