Would they be the only team in FCS to have won a ring with three different head coaches?
Read (1995), Glenn (2001), Hauck (2008?)
I think GSU's were with Russell and Johnson, YSU's with Tressel, and of course ASU's with Moore.....

Nice stretch. But I said if. And that's a big if.

I'm pretty sure you are correct. But first the Griz have to win it.
If the Griz won (big IF), that would be a true testament to the excellence of their program, to win it with three different headcoaches.
Even if the Griz don't win, they still have been to the title game with FOUR different head coaches. Still very impressive.

Ok everyone calm down I will scale back the question
Is Montana the only team in FCS to have gone to a national championship game with FOUR different head coaches?

If Richmond were to win the NC would they be the first team to win at the Rock and then win a NC since 2005?
Sorry...trying to reverse the curse you put on Montana with this thread since I am pulling for the Griz.

GSU's 4th was won by Tim Stowers, so they've got 3 different coaches

xlolx Fair enough but I think the last time a team won at the Rock and the NC was 2007? :p

If Richmond were to lose the NC to the Griz, would that be the first time a mammal has beaten an arachnid for the title?

I think he meant he saw it as 2001.5. That would make it 6.5 years between each title

Agreed...
I love DuckDuck but this is unacceptable as a topic before the actual game is played...
This is exactly the crappy thread-type that gets the smack board filled with a-holes who feel (and rightfully so) vindicated by striking back - you simply set-yourself-up for punishment when you create threads such as this
Congratulations Richmond: You won - you played a better game - please ignore this thread
