Any non Giants/Baltimore Fans have interest in watching this on ESPN tomorrow night at 9?
I've always been intrigued by this game ever since a Reference on The Adventures of Pete and Pete (bizarre way to be intrigued)

Yes, but as an 'Iggles' fan, I hope to be watching today's Giants kicking the ***** out of the Cowboys at that time.:D

No worries about that

The Greatest Game Ever Played (but, the Giants lost, what's so great about it? xconfusedx) is on Saturday after the Heisman, while the modern day Giants are on Sunday night for their trip to Texas xcoolx

Thanks. The poster said the show was on "tomorrow night", so I interpreted that as Sunday since I was reading it on Saturday!xrotatehx

I will be checking it out. I think personally it gets too much hype. Maybe it's because I wasn't there and I wouldn't understand but just because it's the first good game I hate how it's called the greatest ever.

I think it gets the name because of the impact it had on the entire country, and our culture. Until then, the NFL was still relegated to the backpages. It was this game that caught the country's attention and imagination that catapulted the sport into the huge business it is today. So in terms of 'effect', it is the 'Greatest Game' played.

Is this the version that is going to be colored instead of black and white?

I watched most of it. Flipping back and forth with the PA State 4A Championship. I enjoyed the stories of the oldtimers recounting the game. The current players from Colts and Giants were like doofises. The forensic analysis of whether Gifford made the first down resulting in the Colts getting the ball one last time was good. I also like the dirt getting kicked around. THAT was football.xnodx

Greatest game, my ass. Why don't the just call it "A game that featured 17 future hall of fame players, coaches & owners." xrolleyesx

Obviously this was shot before Antonio Pierce had any legal problems... Maybe I'm the only one, but I thought from the previews they were going to show a game... not a bunch of people talking about a game

Exactly. Very disappointed. I did enjoy Neil Leifer's perspective on shooting the game.

Which is why I changed the channel!
