The pass overturn was the right call.. the 2pt play.. not so much.

I do not that either showed enough to over turn the call on the field, especially the two point conversion.

The two-point conversion was bs ...
I'd have to say (as an impartial observer) it looked like the right call, but I'm surprise they thought it was "conclusive enough" to overturn the call made on the field.

He might not be as good an athlete but i think against the best of the best this time of year he'll give the Dukes a better chance to win. When you're still playing at this point you need balance. With Landers in there the Dukes were a one trick pony. A damn good one trick but still. You keep going to the well and it'll eventually dry up. Plus i don't think it's smart to run your QB over and over. An injury is almost inevitable.

Yeah, why wouldn't you want JMU to win? That's what I didn't understand with App fans. It makes your program look better by being able to say you lost to a team that made it to the NC... now you have Montana saying they could possibly beat you, at the Rock too... maybe that's just me and I understand there's some dislike from Boone (as well as a lot of other places) towards JMU... but anyway, none of this is meant to take away from the Montana victory. Their offense absolutely manhandled us and there is no doubt about that. JMU, great heart.. thanks for not mailing it in and making me proud to be a fan

Weber and Cal Poly both looked like better teams to me than JMU... xeyebrowx

From actually playing them I would not say that. They're right up there with them, but JMU had a fire that they can't match.

All the credit in the world to Montana. They were definitely the better team tonight.

I feel much better about next year about next season though than I did before. Big D looks like he's going to be a great QB.

But no Lemm next year, no Apted next year, and no Holloman next year. JMU's offense is dependent on a dominate offensive line and the best two won't be there.

I won't get into an argument of who's better. That's not the point. The Griz are rolling to Chattanooga. Chugga Chugga Chugga

JMU, great heart.. thanks for not mailing it in and making me proud to be a fan

for me it was the experience I had in Harrisonburg....

I don't think I can pull for them

and I can't stand Mickey Matthews

Great job montana! The jmu cat finally ran out of lives. You guys played a great turnover-free game and your qb is clutch. Best of luck next week.

I can't wait to hear the jmu and mickey matthews excuses. They would have lost that game with or without landers. 4 turnovers does not win games.

Good news for jmu the back-up is going to be great next year and throws the ball better than landers imo.

JMU has made these plays all year ...

... not this time. Pass dropped. Ball game.

When you watch the slow-mo replay he did have the ball for just a split second. The CB Swink batted the ball out of his hands before he could secure it.

Thanks to the all you AGS posters for 99% great comments and sportsmanship. UMs offense played exceptionally well, but JMU never punted once, did they? Might have gone either way. Let's celebrate without the gloating -- but feel free to dish all the smack you want to that Villanova coach!

Just got done watching the game. I had to record it as I was at a company holiday party.

A few quick thoughts and then I'll be reading through every single post for the next few hours.

First, that was a fantastic game. Smash-mouth football at its best.

Regarding Montana:
I loved the play calling on Offense (and I'm not a typical supporter for Phencie, the O-Coordinator). But after the game tonight, I'll give him a pass from criticism for a whole year.

The UM defense CREATED those turnovers. Memo to JMU...protect the rock.

I'm so F@&k'in happy right now. This years performance and drive in the playoffs by the Griz has blown my expecations beyond belief.

Regarding JMU:
Your team is damn good and had a great season. I know it might sting right now, but to make it to the semis is something to be proud of. After the sting wears off....allow yourself to enjoy the great memories of this season.

I knew you guys were going to pound the rock and eat up the clock, but I didn't know it was going to be at that high of a percentage. Between the two teams placing an emphasis on the run, there had to have been a smaller amount of total plays than an average game (at least in the Big Sky).

Landers is a stud runner....but lacks the skills of a true passer. I heard the anouncers say he's been compared to Armanti....(ahhh, no). Armanti can throw the ball much better and can run just as hard (and weighs 40+ pounds less).

Regarding ESPN Announcers:
Overall a great job. I'm very impressed by Brock Huard.

Impressive effort by both teams....thanks for treating us FCS fans to an absolutely great game.

They must have taken a page out of the Wofford playbook from two weeks ago.

That was a crazy game, I thought I was going to die from ulcers and a heart attack at certain points there in the fourth quarter (and maybe from blowing a blood vessel in my head after they overturned the 2 point conversion).

Props to JMU, you guys were definitely the real deal, we really had no answer for stopping your offense between the 20s. Turnovers were definitely the key to this game (as many others stated), not losing Landers, that backup QB played very well, I was definitely impressed with him.

For the Griz (also as other have stated) Phenicie called a GREAT game on offense today and Bergquist was his normal, efficient, excellent and not flashy self. He did what he needed to do to get us the win today. Reynolds and the offensive line really did a great job as well.

The highlight of my day was definitely where I watched the game though. We had a pretty crazy snow storm in Pullman today and all satellite tv went out in the city and we get sat in the dorms. So myself and a few other displaced Griz fans ran over to a crowded sports bar and asked them to change the channel for us. By halftime I think we had won over about 50 new Griz fans, the place was absolutely electric in the second half of the game.

Anyways, best of luck to UNI/Richmond tomorrow and congrats on a great season Dukes.

Impressive win by the Griz. Very fun to watch.

When he wasn't knocked out of the game, your boys were able to force him to cough up the football. The turnovers were what led to the Dukes demise last year as well.

That MASSIVE O-line was also pretty fun to watch.

Montana had an excellent game plan, and executed it very well.

Gotta think that Landers must be pretty badly injured to not be able to play the 2nd half last night.
