These are the pitchers listed on the 2009 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot.
Vote for as many as you like (or for none of the above). Please vote for whom YOU think belongs--NOT whom you predict will get elected by the actual voters.
I'll post two more polls to cover the hitters.

Blyleven, Morris and Smith
Morris was the best pitcher in the 1980's, plus a famous 10 inning World Series Game pitching feat.
Blyleven was great young, and good over a long period of time.
Smith just blew it by hitters.

Blyleven is the only guy here who should be in from this group - he struck out a ton of hitters while compiling impressive numbers with great consistency. If Don Sutton is in the Hall, Blyleven should be, too. Though wins should be one of the last things you look at, he somehow had a career winning record despite playing for some miserable teams that provided him little run support. Cone was good but only truly had one great season of his career, Morris was consistently good but again, never great (aside from one game that should not be used to define his career because that would be foolish). Relief pitchers provide issues with defining numbers for Hall-of-Famers. Orosco might be one, as may Smith but I'm not sure.

Blyleven, Smith, Morris, and John.
Blyleven and Smith obvious.
Morris great big game pitcher.
Tommy John, how many pitchers have had a surgery named after them and won 280+ games?

I went with Blylevyn and Smith. Morris on the edge to me. I'd have to research more. Had some great years, but I look at the 'long haul' unless the great years were so stellar, and the player had to retire early due to injury, i.e. Koufax
