I don't know if we've had difficulty scheduling non-conference home games, but the ones we've had over the last 8 years aren't really with any "big-time," marquee teams. We've played VMI forever at home, which is fine with me, and a few others like Furman, Bucknell, and Stony Brook. That's about it. I'd be happy if Furman would make another appearance, or any of the other first-tier SOCON teams.

VMI is a home & home (VMI/W&M/UR were equal programs once upon a time).The last I heard Elon was to be the opening game at the new mini-me stadium in 2010.

To be honest I get the impression that Richmond doesn't have too much of a home field advantage. It just doesn't seem like too many people come out to support the team. Their road record is still impressive, regardless of their home record.

Not that other teams don't..... but I'll tell you what.... UR seems to bring it consistently when they come to Bridgeforth. They play extremely well on the road and home field advantage seems to mean nothing against them when they play at JMU.

I seem to remember another team that had a lot of success on the road in 2004...

Bryant is 25-7 at home since 2003 and is 18-2 at home since 2005.

That is not correct.

04' we were 7-4. Losses @ Iowa State, Illinois State, Southern Illinois and at home against Western Kentucky.

I don't believe we have ever lost at home to Stephen F, even in our 5-6 year on 02' we beat them at home.

I have the media guide with schedules from every year in it. And we lost to @Iowa State, vs SFA, @SIU, and vs WKU in 2004. We beat Illinois State at home that year. So we do have 5 losses at home in that time.
