Fumble recovery by Albany! That was a nice drive Jacksonville had going, too.

How many years left for the Gridiron Classic? Does this go away with the NEC's autobid, or does it morph into the PFL Championship? (This, of course, assumes the Ivy does not want in...)

Next year is the last year as far as I know.....on to the real FCS post-season for the NEC after that. I wouldn't mind seeing it stick around for the second place NEC team, seeing as the NEC will be a one-bid league for a long time.
But I doubt the PFL would be interested in that.
Anyway, a dominating performance by the Danes defense today. Congrats to them on a good season.
Let's hope voters realize they are a top 25 team.

I believe the the Gridiron Classic agreement has been extended through 2009. Should either the PFL or NEC champion be chosen for the NCAA playoffs (auto-bid), the second place finisher in that conference would play in the Gridiron Classic.

McCarty finished the day with 33 carries, 277 yards and 4 TD's.
Finished the season with 1858 yards and 13 rushing TD's.
He should definitely be an all-american RB.

Stats were ugly in this one:
Albany with 456 yards of offense.
Jacksonville with 228.

Purely because of TD's. McCarty doesn't play for stats either does Fordie. Esposito had a bunch of short QB sneak TD's that McCarty could have had.
That's also the reason why he didn't end up on the Payton list.

McCarty better be on the first Payton watch list next year.... It is absolutely mind boggling that he has been snubbed. If he played in the Ivy League, he would have been on the list all season.

Its crazy that the guy who will end up being the nation's leading rusher didn't end up on the list.
1852 yards is an incredible season and hopefully the writers acknowledge that with all-american honors.
