agsadmin
December 5th, 2008, 08:00 AM
The rush is on to fill the 2009 calendar with sponsored teams by December 19!

New Hampshire and Montana, you are almost there! Time for your fans to start the final drive to the end zone and secure your months. Most of the 2009 schedule is wide open for the taking and we need your support.

Let's close out the calendar. It's time for you to make your donations.

$20 or more gets you the nifty donation logo on AGS and $255 reserves a month honoring your team. Don't forget to add the team instructions and your member name in the notes when you donate and thank you if you've already donated!

I saw the group on BobcatFans (TXST) was willing to put together a month.

I'll challenge them because I can't stand their guts, but it's a good cause nonetheless.

If they come up with a month and still have more money, well towards a second month, I'll chip in some $$$ for a second month for the SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE! That way, they can get a month plus some more love on this very message board.

Based on the cold history between AGS administration and many longtime ASU posters, they ought to be thankful they finally found enough newbies to get one month.

Hey, what happened to UNH? Maybe we should do a CAA month in May, just in time for preseason voting?

I'll get back with you on the subject of UNH. A CAA month would be a great idea since there's several individuals who have contributed from around the league.

Thanks. Oh, where is my donor emblem? I played the guitar many days on the street corner to earn the money for that.:D

Just to clarify, Several weeks ago I instigated a CAA month drive and several people pledged support for it.

Inititally it was posted as a UNH month, but my understanding is that it was always on track as a CAA month and as of Nov 26 $130 of the $255 was pledged for the month.

agsadmin
December 10th, 2008, 05:16 PM
Why is it UNH/CAA?

It's the combined funds of the group.

If the two groups want to go their separate ways, CAA is a $40 and UNH is at $75.

UNH fans need to decide their direction and if they can raise sufficient funds.

I was going to donate an entire month for Montana, but then you started your strong-armed tactics of banning me for having the wit to make personal slams on idiotic posts without really really making personal slams. This site is much too Pollyanna for my tastes. The board monitors need to grow a pair if they want to encourage spirited discussion, instead of this love-fest that goes on 90% of the time here.

Just saying....

We are at the six yard line and very close to our goal! We are asking one final time for your help in putting six on the board by the end of the evening.

Even when the "drive" comes to an end, you are still encouraged to donate throughout the year, but now is the time to punch one in!

SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!

Thanks members for helping us reach our donation drive goal!

Appalachian State has finished their month and we picked up several more donations to some of the sponsored months. We need everyone to finish up their month soon.

Everyone is still encouraged to keep the donations up. It is our hope that the additional money that comes in will be used for further updates to the server including add-ons that will make this an even bigger and better community!

Several PMs have reached my box in the last few days regarding updates. There have been no updates as of present date. Individuals are still continued to chip in their donations. Stay on the look out soon for other means of supporting AGS including auctions!

I asked this before, how long does a University have to act on their pledge, before another University can take that month, some of this drawn out stuff is getting ridiculous.

I would like for TXST to have Dec also, let me know if we can have it.

Actually since the CAA is paid for, if December opens up, can we have it?

We seem to have the most teams playing each year in December, so it's only appropriate that the CAA sponsor December.

(dodging all of the flames).

A reminder that it's never too late to donate!

Any and all fans are encouraged to donate to one of the months, or feel free to donate on your own accord.

Thanks for your support of AGS.

Schools and conferences with money remaining to hit the mark are asked to secure their months by completing their fundraising efforts.

Thanks!

In my opinion:
If a school is locked in for a month but is "short"
by the 20th of that month any other team should be able to "steal" that month and move that "short" school back to the next available month (even if it's 12 months away...

Just an FYI... xeyebrowx (Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition)
