Yeah, I don't think they are official. If you could provide links, then i would believe.
However, Tulsa, East Carolina and Ball St are playing in their conference championship games and those will have an affect on where they are bowling.
Also, if Rutgers wins tonight they will not be in the International Bowl.
The only official invites thus far:
Navy to EagleBank
Fresno St to New Mexico
Southern Miss to New Orleans
Hawaii to Hawaii
Rice to Texas

Weak RU team? Hardly. This RU team will have won 6 in a row (after they beat Louisville tonight) and would certainly wipe the field with Ball St, who has played nobody enroute to an undefeated season.

Yeah, you're wrong, but it doesn't matter since this game won't be happening. Ball St, barring a highly unlikely BCS bid, will play in either the Motor City (vs. a B10 opp), the GMAC (vs a CUSA opp) or the aforementioned Int'l (vs a BE opp...could be Rutgers, but highly unlikely).

You can thank Big 11 conference commissioner Jim Delany for bending over Boise St to get OSU in, I like to refer to him as the devil incarnate.
Consequently he is public enemy #1 to any proposed playoff system as well, as the BCS is his baby.
Texas will smoke OSU in the Fiesta Bowl and he won't care because all he'll see is another $14M flowing into his overrated and overhyped conference.

I'm Catholic (though hopefully not too crazy :)), and this seems utterly silly. I cannot tell you how many times I have been on the road on Christmas Eve. Hell, I had an Order to Show Cause in Court once at 4:00 on Christmas Eve. You do your job; you handle your responsibilities, even on Christmas Eve. I believe the game is in the afternoon in Hawaii, so if the Catholic players want to go to Midnight Mass after the game, they can do it. Jeepers, what's the big deal?
As far as losing money, N.D. has plenty from the NBC contract and I am sure they will survive. They are certainly not starving in South Bend. I'm actually happy the game is on Christmas Eve because my Dad and I can watch it.

No way. Oklahoma may lose to Florida....I'll call that a toss up. But the other three are almost guarnateed wins.
Texas will crush Ohio St. The buckeyes are an average team from an average Big10 conference this year. Texas just has too much talent and too much motivation (getting screwed out of the title game).
Texas Tech will want to show the world they fit their 11-1 record and I think they will hang 50+ on Ole Miss.
I can only assume you are counting Mizzou as the 4th best Big 12 team. If so, I don't see how anyone could pick Northwestern to win that game....unless you are a Big10 fan, then it all makes sense.

Texas will not crush Ohio State. OSU's short comings have been agaisnt the SEC. Tressell is 1-1 agaisnt Texas and i think the Buckeyes will go out with something positive. Texas might win but by 2 TD's or less.
Texas Tech will not put 50+ on Ole Miss. Harrell has something like 20 screws in his two fingures. This game is close to a pick'em.
Oregon over Oklahoma State. Mizzou certaintly isn't one of the top 4 Big 12 teams. They lost to Texas, OSU and OU. The Ducks have a good shot to take out the fighting Gundy's. Bellotti has a good bowl record.

Forgot about Okie St. Now that one with Oregon will be a good game. I could see Oregon pulling this one off.
Your comments about Ohio St are laughable at best. Their shortcomings were against the SEC?? True, but this Ohio St team isn't close to being as good as those Ohio St teams, and this Texas team is as good as, if not better than, the SEC teams. Plus Texas is pissed they got screwed. The Longhorns will be looking to make a statement.
This game will be as bad as USC-Ohio St was at the beginning of the year.
The TTU-Ole Miss game is not a pick 'em. Harrell's surgery was on the non-throwing hand, so while it may affect him slightly, he'll still be chuckin the ball all over the field....Ole Miss will be over-matched here, no doubt.

Dec. 20 New Mexico Albuquerque, N.M. ESPN 2:30 p.m. Colorado State vs. Fresno State
Couple of interesting things (at least to me xlolx):
Biggest drop off of the season goes to USF. From potential Big East at the beginning of the season to St. Pete Bowl who knows what the turnout will be. At least the trop will only seat 33K.
FAU back to back bowls.
Two Sun Belt teams in bowls
5 out of 7 Florida teams make a bowl.
La Tech in a bowl game for the first time in a long time.
Don't sleep on Ole Miss, Jevan Snead is playing lights out right now.
It's possible that I could attend at least 3 bowl gmaes, with a possible 4th if our hookup comes through.
Glad to see Vandy go bowling.

from the tampa tribune:
USF - St. Pete Bowl
West Virginia - Meineke Car Care Bowl
Rutgers - Papajohns.com Bowl
UConn - Motor City Bowl
I understand going to renamed Meineke-MAACO Car Care Bowl to reflect Meineke's recent acquisition of MAACO.

Best non-BCS Bowl out there xrulesx xnodx xhypedx
GO FROGS!
May be the best bowl game out there (not just the best non-BCS). Great matchup of two very solid teams.

Will someone explain why Boise St did not get into a BCS game when they had a higher BCS ranking than Ohio St? I don't understand the system

The $y$tem i$ de$igned to put a$ much ca$h a$ po$$ible in the coffer$ of the BC$ conference$.
O$U in the Fie$ta Bowl give$ more ca$h to the Little 11. BC$ ranking ha$ nothing to do with it.

If the St. Pete Bowl counts. xlolx We usually go to the Outback Bowl no matter who plays. Add the Champs Sports Bowl and (Fingers Crossed) BCS Title game, probably a loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg shot but we're trying all connections. xlolx My wife is a Gator, she was a Gator Guide from 96-98.
