Heard the MAC and WAC were working on pairing the two in a bowl game as both teams are likely to get passed over in the FBS with just Utah crashing the party.

Anyone find any information related to this? Smart idea if so. May make the Motor City Bowl, Humanitarian Bowl or Independence Bowl worthwhile. Figure it won't be Humanitarian -- that's a home game for Boise.

Sounds like a good idea I mean its way better than Boise and Ball State playing BCS conference teams with 7-5 or 6-6 records.

Sounds like a good idea .

Which means it is highly unlikely to happen. xsmhx xsmhx xsmhx

I will second that motion... not worth watching (along with most bowl games) unless they are put against each other in which case that would be a sweet game to watch

The Independence Bowl is the only real possible fit. Ball St. won't play at Boise. The Motor City Bowl might not be able to get out of it's obligations plus Detroit isn't high on the Boise St. list. The Independence Bowl will likely have (2) at-large spots if the SEC and Big XII send teams to the BCS title game.

Heard Boise is enticing the offer...

Increased payout. Allowing Ball St to wear home jerseys and Boise St would have to return the game to Muncie...is that going to work?

I think the Independence bowl would offer La Tech/ULL (both are bowl elgible) a spot. They might as well play that game in Boise, Shreveport is no great destination. xlolx

I have mixed feelings about this idea. It would be an exciting game, for sure. But, if you put two of the most successful non-BCS teams this year against each other, then people will probably continue to doubt their abilities. Put them against mid-range BCS teams, and you get the possibility of big Boise or Ball State wins and more credibility. xtwocentsx
