SLO has a really Nice stadium, and it will get better in the future.xthumbsupx
SLO is a really good college town, with close proximity to nice beach towns/resorts, golf, wineries, and cattle ranching. Have the tri tip and ribeyes.

I live in a National Forest about 300 miles from SLO. It is paradise. Right now I'm sitting in a Hotel Room in SLO. The Hotel room may not be paradise, but the town is. Last evening, I had dinner at a small steakhouse in Nipomo, about 20 minutes south of SLO. The taste in my mouth was paradise.
San Luis Obispo offers the best of California. If you've never been here, you should come. Cal Poly is a wonderful school and offers a great education. You could do a lot worse by attending a college or university elsewhere.
Cal Poly is a "destination" University. Students from all over the State of California, the Nation, and the World wish to attend. Cal Poly recieves more applications for entrance than any other California State University, which includes giant schools like San Diego State and Long Beach State. This is true even though Poly is in an uncrowded area of the State. The City of San Luis Obispo isn't even big enough to attract major department stores. SLO town, as some call it, is paradise.

Department stores have been trying to come, Kohls, Walmart, Target and the like. The city has an unfriendly environment for them, and had to raise its sales tax as a result, but Target may get built in a couple years.

Sure beats the old bleachers that they replaced. Night & day.
