Man, I'd hate to be a fan of the Eagles. Then again, it sure does feel good to be a Cowboys fan now. ;)

I watched the game at a sports bar here in philly and when Williams returned the INT i could help but smile. The expressions on people's faces were priceless. I can't wait to listen to WIP (Philly's big sports callin show) tomorrow on the way to school, should be joyous. I think Andy Ried is the second comming of Bill Cowher, although i think he's going to be on a shorter leash. The window of opportunity i think has closed for some of these core players who've been around awhile and the Eagles need to consider atleast a partial overhaul of the team.

Just because the Eagles suck... doesn't mean the Cowboys don't... ;)

I view pro football as an overpriced, less imaginative interlude between I-AA games! Thinking more locally, as a long-time Philadelphia sports fan, one gets used to these things. I listened to the last 5 minutes of the first half, which were pretty good for the Eagles, and went to bed. Slept like a baby! ;)

Oh well, it was a fun ride while it lasted. TU Owl is right, it's time to retool the team.
Step 1: Put McNabb on IR for the remainder of the season and get him that surgery...
Step 2: Wait, that's about it...
:D :D :D

I agree. No sense running him out there at 75% only to get continually banged up. Their season is shot. The'd have to go 6-1 just to have a shot at a wild card spot. Just can't see it happening with the schedule they have left.

They have too many problems and issues this season. And the NFC East teams have finally gotten better and caught up to them. They had a nice run, with four NFC East titles in a row and four straight NFC Championship games. Wish they could have had another Super Bowl appearance though.
I really thought 2002 was their year. Last season at the Vet, McNabb comes back from the broken foot to play in the playoffs, home field advantage throughout the playoffs, they had a team they dominated the past few times they played them and who could not win in cold (Tampa Bay) for the 2002 NFCCG. They scored on their first offensive possesion that game, then the offense just went CAPUT.
Nothing else to say.

I for one like to find the silver lining in everything, especially since I'm an Eagles fan. Here's mine:
I WON'T be heading to a bar to watch the Eagles anymore this season. That means I'll be saving money, and about 4 hours on Sunday to get things done around the house or to do more mountain biking.
Don't get me wrong, I haven't stopped being a Birds fan. I'll still watch them when they're on TV locally, I just won't be going out of my way anymore this year.

Well, it's not like we've haven't seen this happen before.
Ask the Cowboys after week 2 with the Redskins: a 13 point lead, didn't convert deep in their territory, gave the opponents a chance to come back, and they did.
Good to see things even out.

Well, I'll be getting more work done around the house on Sundays now. Yeah, I'll still watch 'em, but I won't be devoting the entire afternoon--just check in from time to time. They'll hve to do some major retooling for next year.
