Is SHSU good or has Mizzou fallen that far off the map?

I'd probably say a mixture of both. More SHSU is good though, I think. :)

Mizzou has some serious issues. Quinn Snyder has run a shady program since his arrival and finally got busted. They have serious recruiting restrictions and i have to believe the talent pool there is at its lowest in 10+ years. Still any win over a team from a "power" conference is a good win, although in basketball it happens a lot more then in football. BBall all you need is a couple good players to carry you.

SHSU has as of the last years, under coach Marlin been a serious contender when it comes to non-conference. They almost knocked off both Houston (one point loss, even with 25+ turnovers) and OK State (late lead with five minutes left) last year. Marlin's boys have defeated Mizzou, Nebraska, Tech (Bobby K's first loss there and at home) and Baylor from the Big XII.

Crap! I was watching another bball game last night when they switched over to this game (during halftime or something, I can't remember....hmmmm, beer)...I saw SHSU vs. Mizzou and immediately thought "A power b-ball team playing a non-power team....switch channel". I wish I would have watched it! I've never been a fan of Quin Snyder...his team always start high and then get beat down by the end of the season. I guess he decided to get beat down at the beginning of the season!!! :D

Congrats!! I love me some NCAA b-ball...go Terps!!!! :)

SportsCenter had highlights of the game this morning. Great exposure for Sam and the SLC.

Good win Kats. If you can get past Drexel, it's on to NYC for a game against Duke-Seton Hall.
