Michigan beats #4 UCLA 55-52 to advance to the finals of the Coaches Vs. Cancer Tourney in MSG. Is it me or is UCLA to college basketball what Ohio State is to football? Both have great expecations that always seem to go come up short and are led by coaches who seem to coach not to lose as much as they do to win.

I agree. UCLA was ranked, but they lost to a Big 10 school with a basketball tradition.

No way Kentucky (ranked or otherwise) should lose at home to VMI.

No, the obvious difference being that Michigan can beat UCLA in basketball.

No way Kentucky (ranked or otherwise) should lose at home to VMI.

Gotta disagree here. Tradition or not, this Kentucky team also lost to Gardner-Webb at home last year. Until they prove they are the old Kentucky again, I'm not surprised by any result they have.

Did anyone see the end? That's the second time I have seen Collison attempt a lame game winning shot with two guys draped all over him only to have it fall 8 feet from the rim. Howland needs to kindly remind him that there are 4 other people on the court wearing powder blue.

I was just waiting for the zebras to call a foul on that, thankfully they didn't!
