Three big games tonight in basketball for FCS football schools:

Richmond leads Syracuse at the half 38-31. David Gonzalvez is on fire for the Spiders. Boeheim's zone has been beaten for 7 threes in the first half.

#21 Davidson faces #14 Oklahoma - Two preseason All-America picks face off in the NIT Season Tip-off. Curry xthumbsupx vs. Griffin should be a good one.xpopcornx xpopcornx

UT-Martin faces #13 Tennessee - The Vols lost several key players from last year. Skyhawks hung with Vandy last year (Who beat UT). Possible upset here if Pearl doesn't get his boys ready to play.

URI also took Duke to the wire earlier this week. Look for the Salukis to do the same on Thursday. xpopcornx xpopcornx

Syracuse has started the 2nd half playing better. Hopefully they can pull away from the Spiders.

Vols have dropped 38 on UTM in 11 minutesxeekx xeekx . So much for that upset possibility. UT is putting that one to rest early. Meanwhile, Richmond is forcing up threes and Devendorf, Flynn, and co. are settling in and look to be pulling away unless the Spiders can get something going on offense. Go Spiders!

Not so sure UTM wouldn't beat the Vols in football though xthumbsupx xlolx xlolx

Syracuse 76 Richmond 71 Final

Syracuse controlled the second half for the most part. Flynn had an awesome game for the 'Cuse. I think Richmond will cause some trouble in the A-10.

The Davidson-Oklahoma game should be a great one at 9:30.

Flynn was unstoppable to say the least. xbowx Good overall effort by Richmond. They relied on the 3 ball and it came back to bite them in the second frame. Good game.

I'm pumped for the Heels-Cats and Cats-Sooners games. Go North Carolina schools! xthumbsupx

Kentucky looks absolutely terrible. UNC is up 25-6 with about 11:00 minutes left in the half. Can't wait for the Davidson game.

Heels are the real deal. No Hansbrough, no Ginyard, no problem xthumbsupx

UNC is legit but Kentucky isn't a top shelf SEC team this year.

Davidson seems like they really miss their PG from last year (Richards?). This year it seems like it's Curry, Lovedale and not much else. I don't see the Wildcats duplicating last year unless someone steps up to run the point.

Absolutely right. Jason Richards is a huge loss. Curry is bringing the ball down the floor most of the time. Still manages to get open with or without the ball. xpopcornx xpopcornx xpopcornx xpopcornx

Oklahoma 82 Davidson 78 Final

Currey finished with 44 pts on 13-42 shooting. He really doesn't seem to have much help around him. Oklahoma is going to be force once the team gels together.

Did you hear the OU fans chanting "ONE MAN TEAM, ONE MAN TEAM!"? Felt bad for the Cats because they played their hearts out. 2 starters foul out and they lose by 4 to a top 15 team on a night that Curry really was off shooting (not to take away from OU's defense). Overall a pretty impressive showing from the Cats.

I don't know, 6-for-15 is a pretty decent percentage from three, and 12-for-29 with almost all jump shots against a D like Oklahoma isn't terrible.
