I do. I like basketball but can't stand the NBA. I'll go to a few UNC games, but my sports season pretty much shuts down after college football is over in Jan. Baseball is OK, but I don't like MLB.

After football (FCS and NFL xnodx), hockey picks up steam, and runs right into baseball, which ends up at the beginning of football again

4. spring camps January-June
5. media days and preseason/transfer June-July

I love college basketball as much as I do college football. Baseball is great, too.
I may skip class tomorrow to watch 24 Hours of College Basketball on ESPN.xnodx
I'm watching Memphis and UMass right now.

I know. Both our men's and women's teams are damn good this year, btw.
I've been a college basketball fan forever, I remember watching Webber's timeout against North Carolina in '93 s a 5 year old.

I love college hoops so i'm just getting ready for a new season. By the end of the Maui Invitational and Feast Week i'll be full college hoops mode for the rest of the year. Temple should be inline for a potentially great year, Syracuse, Notre Dame and Gonzaga also have great prospects for the year.

I don't find basketball all that enjoyable.
Might end up going to a womens game or two, just because I have a few tickets left from the "Womens Panther Pack" that I bought for volleyball season.
But I don't really get into mens college basketball, and I can't stand the NBA.
I'll watch the occasional hockey game, but don't get into it all that much. Same with MLB baseball.
And of course, the NFL still goes for a few weeks after the championship game in Chattanooga, and I'll watch some of that.

I like college basketball and since UND joined D1 and NDSU is now eligible for a chance to go to the dance i have more teams to follow than my favorite( defending national champions Kansas Jayhawks!!), and then you have college hockey and before you know it its time for Cleveland Indians baseball.:)

It dies a little, yes. If JMU were any better in basketball it would die a little less, but on the whole, football is just a lot more exciting than basketball (even if JMU had a decent team!) Madness of course is great.

I love all college basketball so that keeps me going through early April, not to mention by that time you've had recruiting and spring practice concludes in April. After the NFL draft, is when it gets rough. I can do college baseball, but I hate MLB so June-August-blah!!!!

I wouldn't say I shut it down but after college football season things go downhill a bit. I do have a URI basketball season ticket and I enjoy the games but they're secondary compared to football IMO. During the summer I enjoy going to the local auto races with my family; great way to spend a hot Saturday night. Before I know it, it is college football season again.

Why the hatin on college basketball?
I look forward to college basketball as much if not more than cfb. (blasphemy!! xeekx xshhhx ) The thing that makes football great for me is actually going to the games, something that I'm not able to do for the basketball games.

Nope.
Ready for College basketball, (JSU and the rest of the NCAA), and I have the NBA package on Directv.
Got JSU season ticket's for basketball and will be traveling to New Orleans and Memphis to see the NBA for the "prime" games.
Don't care for Baseball and Hockey so after march Madness and the NBA finals, I'm lost for the month of June, July and August as for sport's.

Nope, I keep right on trucking till April, then it slows down considerably because I am not a huge baseball fan. NBA is OK for me, only because of fantasy basketball (which I'm 2nd currently xnodx ).

Not completely, but I go into a hibernation mode of sorts.
I no longer follow the Flyers or the NHL.
I'm not a basketball fan, college or NBA. Although, like a lot of people, I get interested for the 1st weekend of the NCAA tournament, then go back to not caring.
I only follow the Eagles among NFL teams, so when their season is done, I'm done with the NFL. The only post-season game I'm sure to watch is the Super Bowl.
Yup... I'm waiting around for "Pitchers and Cathers report."

I take off after the Super Bowl - maybe catch a college b-ball game here and there, then I'll watch March Madness. I hate NBA, and MLB p'od me when they struck in '97 because they couldn't feed their families on league minimum....but I digress. :D
I'll watch my hometown baseball team, the Greenville Drive this summer - those guys are hungry to play, and it's a cheap fun way to burn a spring/summer eve.

Hell, my sports season is wrapped up around the NBA season. I'm usually in full B-Ball mode at this point of the year. Different animal this year. I can tell you the most disappointed I ever feel sports wise is the last game of the year for the Jazz.
And since the Braves aren't on TBS anymore, and I'm not a fan of Joe Morgan or Buck and can't stand McHacker, er McCarver, I don't watch much baseball anymore, so midsummer is kind of bare. I do more golfing and outdoor basketball and tennis at that point, though.

After football there is a lull until college baseball starts in February. The Big West is a great baseball conference. Cal Poly also played National Champ Fresno State 5 times last year and were 3-2. This year they play Fresno State twice. Also Cal, Southern Cal, Rice and the tough Big West with Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.

Really when you look at it football doesn't really end. There's only a dead period between Spring practice and the start of fall camp. But basketball and the Rays (finally) help me get through that. Besides my summers are all basketball, I usually coach in summer leagues.

I've got the NFL! When that ends, I basically shut it down, as football is really the only sport I can watch and follow with regularity. All the other sports are there, on my periphery, I know they exist, but I just don't give a damn about any of them. haha

With the power rankings and predictions, as well as maintaining the poll on my side, I do gear it down a little when it comes to football after the season. This year, basketball is shaping up to also take up a lot of my time. Gonzaga has a power team this year, Portland State is looking to capitalize on last year's success, and the Blazers are on the verge of heading to the playoffs as well. Geez, on top of all that, I have to work on planning my wedding. Maybe I can leave the wedding part to the fiancee (do a lot of "Yes Dear").

When I was a kid, my father would call the time from the end of football season, until the beginning of baseball season "The Dark Ages".
Then UConn started winning in basketball (both Men and Women) and he changed his mind. :p

The NBA isn't all that interesting, although with the Thunder not too far away I might go see a game or two just for fun. I can only stand Dick Vitale for about 10 minutes at a time, so I don't watch much college basketball either. I usually stick to the NFL once the college regular season is over. But bowl season hasn't even started yet, which is a nice bonus at the end of the year.
