Do stats in the playoffs get placed in overall season stats?

Pertains to me since I'd like to see WSU's RB win the conference rushing title for the third straight year. He's ahead by about 60 yards with one regular season game left. MSU is not going to the playoffs, so their guy only has the UM game left while Weber has at least one more game after Saturday.

Don't know how the Big Sky Conference tracks stats, but NCAA counts all play-off stats now. Changed a few years ago. Are you counting total season stats or just conference games?

Pretty sure it does,in the Socon App is listed as 13-2 in the standings for the rest of the season and Wofford 9-4. Wofford was really on top of the conference but App was due to this.

Only 60 yards? I thought he's been the only consistent standout back since the beginning of the year in the conference. I haven't seen Crawford's stats, and Chase Reynolds broke out about halfway through the season.

Playoff stats started to count for season totals in 2002. I wish they would retroactively add stats, because Dickenson, and Humphrey, would be higher on the NCAA lists.

Personally I wish that Reynolds had been discovered earlier. He's got a killer yards per carry stat, now if only he had gotten more carries.

I tend to agree, but I also see a problem with Reynold's emergence as the #1 back. Hauck seems to rely on strong running backs, almost wearing them down (see Lex in 2005 and 2007), to the point where the passing go goes out the window. Our offense was dynamic this year without a strong single carrier, I am now worried we will rely on Chase to carry us the rest of this season.

Grizband is correct. Had the playoff stats counted earlier, Montana's kicker Chris Snyder would not have been surpassed last year by Carpenter as the leading I-AA kick scorer of all time, I believe.
