All those that are projecting a seed for UNI need to look hard at this list.

Haven't we pointed out that Delaware's sagarin rating is high every week? They play in the CAA South. As such, they played 4 of the top 8 teams in this rating ... as well as Maryland.
You may also notice that Towson also plays in the CAA South and is rated 182 ... barely below the teams fighting it out for the OVC title ... and about 10 spots above DAYTON.

All those that are projecting a seed for UNI need to look hard at this list.
All those who think UNI is #14 need to get their head examined. No matter. Seed or not, our defense is unbelievable and is getting better by the week.
The Panthers have outscored their competition 100-6 the past three weeks including back to back shutouts. Sagarin can take his "power ranking" and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Just like UNH is 4 spots better than UMASS....xsmhx
I'm not sure what is wrong for UNI in the computer models this year....but UNI is NOT the 8th best team in the CAA.....xrotatehx xlolx
Please explain that?

no, I'd say its a result of playing a slew awful teams rated at (or near) the bottom of his index.

The fact that Delaware is #20 on this list takes a little away from its credibility IMO. The list is more based on what conference you play in than how good you really are on your own.

UM also beat EW that also played Texas Tech. When texas tech beat Texas, UM jumped way up in the sagarin ranks. Oh yeah the Griz also have a win over Cal Poly, who you of course know beat SD state

And you need to look hard at all the other polls that have UNI in the top 4. What makes this one right?

The problem with Sagarin is that it is a computer model based on the whole season. Teams who actually improve during the season end up underrated because of their early games.

In other years that may have been a decent argument. This year, they actually won the Great West title (tiebreaker over Poly) xlolx . And did you really just call Montana "left coast"? Have you looked at a map recently? xeyebrowx

Do they really think James Madison can beat Clemson and Wake Forest?
And why is Duke, a full twenty spots behind JMU when they beat them pretty convincingly.
Normally, I'm pro-Sagarin ratings, but something appears very wrong with this years edition.

CAA has 3 of Top 4, 6 of Top 10, 7 of Top 13 in the nation. The league is in better shape than ever to get 5 Bids to the NCAA tournament! Wow, except for the omnipresent and great App State, the league has quite an impressive lock on greatness this year, .... xsmiley_wix
