Michigan suffers a 14 - 21 loss to Northwestern to lose more games than any Michigan team in its 129-year history. They also never won consecutive games this year. This Northwestern 2nd win in their last 21 tries in Ann Arbor.

As a lukewarm Michigan fan, can only like them so much as a ND fan, i think they need to stay the course with Rodriguez. The pressure i think is on though. He needs to keep it within 20-24 points next week to be safe for next year. It's been noted that with the Stadiums luxury box additions combined with a terrible Michigan economy, the school can't afford to lose support from alums. They've actually shown decent improvement the last 3-4 weeks. They played a pretty good Northwestern team tough, beat Minnesota last week and should have beat Purdue 3 weeks ago. I think they might give OSU a closer game then many thing. 31-17 type game.

It's hard to say because Rodriguez has a history of having a bad first season since his style is so different. 3-8 his first season at WVU, 9-4 the next.

Kind of like Delaware this year. I don't believe we have ever lossed 8 games in one year. It will be official next week.

They aren't the only blue and gold winged helmets that are going to set the mark for most losses in a season in the history of the program this year. xbawlingx

Hmmm, they start last year losing to App, Hens finish by losing to App. Both set program records for losses the next year. xeyebrowx

Michigan will be fine. We are taking our beatings this year & I can understand everyone reveling in a crappy season for my boys, but I really think once Rodriguez gets a QB who can run his system it will be back to the top 10. Nick Sheridan is simply not the QB of the future for the Wolverines.

Raises some questions about App's Strength of Schedule, doesn't it? xeyebrowx xsmiley_wix

From Gohens.net:

Only 4 college teams in the history of football have never lost 8 games in a season. The 4 teams mich, tenn, ohio st, and delaware.

Michigan is now no longer in that category. Delaware plays Nova next week for it's 8th loss, and TN has two games left against Vandy & KT.

I think we will only have Ohio State at the end of the season. Forgot one team though :D Bryant has never lost more than 6 games in a season. Granted they are only in their 11th season xthumbsupx

I feel for Michigan fans, although I'm not a big R-Rod believer. Maybe they'll pull the upset like the Outback Bowl last year.
