Why are you surprised, arguing about the BCS is the only thing their talking heads can do. They also talk bad about gambling but they broadcast WSOP all the time. They're E$PN for a reason.

Not really surprised...more amused then anything.

their in the business of broadcasting sports, of course there gonna try winning the bidding for one of the biggest sports broadcast packages.

ESPN is ridiculous. I actually did lol when I saw this on ESPN the other day!

As much as it pains me to say, I agree with UNH on something. ESPN is in the business of broadcasting sports. It can either bitch and not bid and lose out on a great tv contract or bid and hope to get the contract.

It's not like they are doing something unethical or illegal. Execs at ESPN wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't consider bidding for this.

Also, I have to assume that ESPN has a policy of not commenting on bids (but could be wrong on that one)
