I took Miami in my pool. They look like they're getting things figured out on offense. They traditionally have a hard time with VT but I think they squeak out a 3 point win.

I've got Miami. I really want to see the university return to its former prominence in football.

I'd rather see VT win.

Good lord, Miami cannot score a TD for the life of them. Thankfully they have a reliable kicker.

Plenty of Good seats available at Joe Robbie. Their must be 15-20k at the stadium, it is barely 1/4 full xnonono2x sad. Should have built a new stadium on the site of the OB.

HA xlolx --I am pretty sure 15k people dont reside in a 100 mile radius of wherever it is that OB 55 lives.

Props to myself for a pretty good prediction. xcoolx

Ahhh that's one thing that annoys me about big time college football......when a top team like Miami (or whoever) plays in a NFL stadium and there's a ton of empty seats!! How in the world can a program like Miami not have their own stadium?!?

When they were in their prime they used to draw very well at the Orange Bowl.

At this point though they could use their own stadium, on campus if at all possible.

South Florida fans are fickle. Seeing a team down there has to be considered the trendy thing to do for them to sell out.

UNC in the driver's seat for the Coastal

Apparently Dolphin stadium is about 45 minutes from campus, quite a trek for fickle students. You would think they had more community support however. The OB has been knocked down, and I believe the Marlins may build a new stadium on the spot. A stadium like the new one Minnesota is builidng, about 50k seats and really nice, would have been perfect for Miami to build in place of the legendary Orange Bowl.

Its a shame that the old Orange Bowl had to be knocked down. The ideal situation would be for a new similar stadium to be built in the same location, but I don't know if that is possible. Miami will continue to draw terrible numbers at Dolphins stadium (or whatever you want to call it), unless it is a primetime Saturday night game and Miami is ranked. Randy Shannon is starting to turn that program around. They have had very deep recuriting classes under Shannon and those freshman and sophomores are getting valuable playing time. They might be able to sneak into the ACC title game this year with a UNC loss and 2 Miami wins, but unlikely. They should be the favorites to win the Coastal next year.

There's no way they could build a large stadium on campus due to all the resistance the local communities around the university would give.

Good win for Miami. They will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years. If Robert Marve can continue to improve, he will be a great leader for that offense.
They are so young, hopefully they don't waste their talent.

Miami has creeped up on everyone huh. I would love to see a Miami vs. Iowa bowl. That would be a great game.

Virginia Tech has really disappointed a lot of people this year. Then again, they are part of the ACC and that conference as a whole is so twisted it's unbelievable!

Looks like Miami has clinched the Coastal division championship. Am I right? Does anyone know how it works?
