A whole 9000 (half Greenies, half Owls)and change saw Rice win today in their Homecoming game. Eight lead changes. Tulane has a chance to tie the game as they drive down 42-34 with four minutes left and can't pull it off. I was there, good times, good times...

Rice wins and ends the nation's longest losing streak at the I-A level! My friend that works for Buffalo says they beat Kent St. First road win in MAC play (we're talking 5-6 years) and first road win in 17 tries! They should be I-AA, eh?

Lots of folks not expected to win, won...ANY GIVEN SATURDAY!

Is Ken Hatfield on the "hotseat" at Rice? I figure all you need to do to keep that job is be competitive, which the Owls have not been the last couple of years. Hatfield has, overall, done a fairly good job at Rice.

Next year, they have Texas, UCLA and Florida St on the schedule...

Not really sure what to make of Rice, especially since they are struggling against C-USA competition and in attendance...
