20,720 in Newark for Towson-Delaware.

Pretty remarkable to get 9,000 non-season ticket holders to fork over $ to see this game between two 3-6 teams.

not counting the band and managers and employees at the stadium there were what looked like 75 at the App vs UTC game

9010 in Providence for Yale-Brown.

Until two weeks ago, Brown hadn't had 9,000 for a home game in four years, now we've had two in a row!

I'd like to see the 10,000 for the Columbia game. Brown hasn't been at home when it won a championship since 1976, so assuming we get things done, it could be a crazy atmosphere (even with the loss today).

Around 12,000 for the Montana vs Portland State game today, with what I would guess, over half being Montana fans.

TV announcers said it looked like at least half the crowd was wearing maroon.

It was a great game. Me and my sister enjoyed the PG and E park very much so. Heading back tomorrow.

Griz Nation travels well. It's what puts us apart from every other FCS team.

Just under 11,000 at Goodman Stadium to see Colgate rally to beat Lehigh on Parents' Weekend. The weather sucked, windy and light rain, otherwise I think 13,000 was expected.

It looked like there were 75 total? I would think you'd have atleast 5-8k travel?

3,200 or so in Brookings for SDSU vs. Ill. State. In fairness to Jackrabbit fans, we just finished with our first winter blizzard and the wind chill today was in the single digits.

5+ from my house in Boone and the majority of our fan base is much further from Chattanooga. No disrepect to the Mocs but it's hardly worth 11 hours in the car when its 35-7 at the half.

I guess a 21,000 seat stadium with only 6,000 skewed my judgement of only 75 in attendance. I would imagine a lot of App fans also figured the starters wouldn't play long in this game and didn't want to make the trip to watch the second and third string.

Pardon me but I find this very hard to believe. I can't see 10K at Elon unless the other team brings 4,000 and I know WCU didn't bring anyone.
I think Elon and Woffy count the same way. WC said they had 10k today also. The stadium seats 8,250 and was half empty so where where were all these peeps?

There might have been more if the game wasn't on TV. Many Yale fans (myself included) didn't make the trip to Providence just because the game was on YES.

I still say a couple of thousand people get lost trying to get there.

Well, at least I always did. :D

I always had a hard time finding Brown Stadium, for one reason or another. Two years ago the exit was closed for road repairs. I've been to Brown at least eight or nine times and still every time I drive there it's like I'm going there for the first time.

Funny story...one time my family drove up to Brown and got lost. We pulled off to the side of the road to ask for directions. The gentleman told us to keep driving and when the music from Brown Band gets louder, then you know you're there. xlolx

3291 yestereday, Nearly 3500 last week for the VMI game. Not bad considering we used to be lucky to have 500 for a game before Mills got there. Stadium capacity is only 3500 seats too. Keep this up and we may see some expansion in a year or two.

This season is a lost cause. The future looks bright for WKU. They should be able to contend. WKU is also the MOST prominent Sun Belt school w/o a doubt. xthumbsupx

10 Sun Belt championships in 2008 says it all. xbowx xwhistlex

FBS needs psychological help and the only way to cure it is a playoff. I will not ever understand the stupid BCS awarding the select few. With Penn State losing just makes a playoff an even stronger argument.

A somewhat disappointing 9,182 at UMass versus Maine.

Every excuse in the book available:

1. Game on tv
2. Rain and wind (but plenty warm)
3. Noon game (students show up large for the 3PM and 6PM games)

and,

4. "The Biggest Little Game in America"" was going on at the same time a couple of miles away:

Unfortunately, the Philly Metro area doesn't really support college athletics. That and the fact that Nova's stadium is worse than some high school stadiums in the area. I think they charge $20 a head to get in too, so those three factors are why they don't draw well.

Being that i grew up near, very near Villanova, i agree with you except the real answers are lack of university support and NO marketing at ALL. Villanova is just too inconsistent and even if they have a great year coach Talley doesn't win enough playoff games. Plus Basketball has already started so Jay Wright is practicing to close to the fans. I hope they win a game or two this year in the playoffs.

Actually, we count attendance ticket by ticket via UBC code. We have fixed seating for 8,250 but we have many that sit on the grass hillsides on both ends of the stadium. Similarly, Last year App regularly had attendance of 23k plus but they had fixed seating listed at 16k.

Last year we had 13k for the App game which was pretty much standing room only. We did only have just under 7,500 for the Furman game this year though.

1,900 and change at Bucknell to watch the Buffaloes battle Lafayette. I wasn't there, but most descriptions indicate that many of the 1,900 came disguised as empty seats. Some say that there were more in line over at the basketball arena to buy tickets than in the stands for football. Sad.

a smidge under 11,000 at Gibbs today, 9th or 10th biggest crowd in school history, just shows how small we are.
