No worrying about the Revs choking in the championship game once more as they have made an annual ritual come MLS Cup time. This year, they were dumped by the Chicago Fire. xeekx

No MLS Cups this year and no chance to add to the four previous runner-up finishes from 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007... xnonono2x

Just another sports team for the New England fan base to be disappointed about... xwhistlex

That was a great game last night! xthumbsupx It wasn't even close. NE had 1 scoring chance all game against the goaltender of the year. The Fire were the #2 seed and the rev was #3. Now I have to hope Columbus loses and the Fire have homefield.

For an old man Blanco still impresses me. I know the rest of MLS hates him, but that's ok with me. When Larentowicz went out with the ankle injury their team just folded up the collective tent.

I'm just thankful the Revs loss...

Was not wanting another Dynamo-Revs final. It gets old. ;)

Further good news for the Revs...

They are unable to make the CONCACAF Champions League 2009-10 now.

Columbus
DC United
Houston
NY/RSL winner

After the Revs 'no-showed' their CONCACAF play-in game, I'm thankful we avoid this one as well. That embarrassing 6-1 loss to Joe Public was not what the doctor ordered.

Dynamo carrying the flag of the MLS again -- a win over Firpo sends them to knockout round.
