BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Quarterback Derek Anderson (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/7389) has been benched by the Cleveland Browns (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/browns), who will start popular backup Brady Quinn (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/8276) on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/broncos).
The switch was confirmed Monday by the team, just hours after coach Romeo Crennel said he had no plans to make a change.
