Shat.............No surprise here.
Agreed to step dowm my arse.xlolx

Tennessee told him his arse is fired anyway at the end of the year.
he just resigned to get the rest of his pay without any hassel's.

Tennessee could not afford to continue to sit back and watch teams like Alabama, S. Carolina, LSU, and OLe Miss get better coaching and they continue to slide down the SEC totom pole to the bottom.

I say UTAH is about to have another coach just stripped away from them by the SEC. xlmaox
Ain't shat they can do to compete if Tennesse come's calling on their coach.
Boise State need to be concerned also. xlolx

UK is looking better and better to beat Tennessee. They have already qualified for a bowl, before Vanderbilt and Tennessee. xlolx

Hey I understand why they got rid of Fulmer, but did you see his winning %? Just about .750. Reminiscient of Nebraska getting rid of Solich, hopefully for UT's sake they have a better time than Nebraska did record-wise in the post-coach era.

If you can make your field goals in OT, you might be able to beat UT.

Fulmer's win pct was padded by his first several seasons when UT was a national powerhouse. Over the last several years, UT has been overpowered by resurgent Georgia, South Carolina, and Kentucky teams in the SEC East.

There are rumors that they could be going after Gruden.

He was a graduate assistant at UT, his wife was a cheerleader, he has property in east Tennessee and he is supposedly going to the Tennessee homecoming game this weekend.

Whittingham is a Utah guy though (state of Utah) so there's less chance of him leaving for Tennessee than Meyer was to leave. Meyer was never a Utah guy. I'd see Whittingham in Washington before Tennessee. More comfortable recruiting area.

That sounds about right. Tenn has a huge hardon for only hiring staff that have strong connections or are alumni of the university.

Fulmer is a great man... worked most of his life for Tennessee and its football team.

The reaction by the players at the press conference and in interviews afterwords speaks volumes as well. Last year there was talk of him being fired and many former players took out an add in the Knoxville News Sentinel voicing their desire to see Fulmer stay on. Here is the ad:
