I am surprised that Texas Tech moved up as far as they did.
It will be very interesting if the SEC and Big 12 champs each have 1 loss and end up in the BCS championship game ahead of undefeated Penn St. That is beginning to look like a real possibility.

Wow they were very kind to Texas.
How much farther could you drop them, though? I mean, can you really put Texas behind Oklahoma right now? xconfusedx

AP is not involved in the BCS standings so don't use this one for that. That said, I think as long as TT, Texas or OK win out and Bama wins out (too close to tell for UF), then PSU will lose out.

I don't think there's any way an undefeated Penn State will sit watching a 1-loss team in the BCS title game, regardless of how bad the Big Ten is.
The SEC and Big 12 shoot themselves in the foot with their conference championship games. Short of doing the right thing and instituting a playoffs, the BCS should at the very least mandate that ALL BCS conferences institute a championship game or all not have one. The PAC 10 and Big 10 are stealing spots in the BCS title game year after year. Ohio State was just exposed last year.
That being said though, Penn State must be close to having the record for undefeated seasons without a national championship. They've been robbed many, many times. Could this be another?

Thanks, I am well aware of that, and it doesn't change my point. I think Penn State is in trouble if the SEC and Big 12 champ each end up with 1 loss. I hope I am wrong.

I agree with you for the most of this. I wouldn't call it "getting exposed" for OSU in the BCS title last year. Let's be honest, did anyone really expect them to get there last year? I didn't and I'm an OSU fan.
I do agree though that not having a championship favors the Pac 10 and Big 10. What will really kill the BCS IMO, is if Notre Dame is undefeated one year and ousts a conference team.

You make a good point. Boise State kinda got screwed but since they're not in a BCS conference they don't get to play for the title. Now Notre Dame with the money, alumni, and media will be a very interesting story if/when they are ever in the position to be in the top 2
