A midwest rivalry. Statement or bad game. No announcers speaking of the score being run up. Why is App St being questioned?

Oklahoma is almost forced to run up the score given the garbage BCS.

It's not running up the score until the 4th quarter. 62 points at the end of the third isn't running up the score.

App is being questioned because they did it in the fourth quarter when it wasn't neccessary and they called plays to scor more points and run up the score. Oklahoma is just beating them, they don't need to go for it on 4th or even pass the ball which i doubt they will now. App didn't either but they did it anyway.

App St. is being questioned because a certain poster takes it upon himself to start things.

With 4 minutes left Oklahoma passed twice ran once, they must have been trying for a first down, or worse a touchdown. If the receiver actually broke for a touchdown was he running the score up or doing what he was signed on for with his scholarship? I know he is only a freshman, but I wish he caught the pass and dropped to the ground so no one would think his coach was trying to run the score up.

We get it, OldSouth...

And - no offense - but this thread only makes the initial "did App State run up the score?" question seem legitimate.

It doesn't matter either way, and in this case, it really doesn't matter, because Oklahoma's not an FCS team.

I am a huge Nebraska fan, and naturally I can't stand OU, their schooner and their wretched fight song that plays almost continually.

That said, there is no way OU can be accused of running up the score. They ran the ball up the middle most or all of the fourth quarter and they took out their starters. They could have scored another 20 points if they'd wanted to do so.

I thought the App St. celebrations last night were a bit much, but I don't think they ran up the score either. You can't ask non-starters to sit down and relax. They practice and they want to show off, too.

Nebraska and Wofford are much, much better than they showed. They made mistakes that snowballed.

Nobody ran up the score. Don't bring FCS topics here.
