Here's a story from Friday's New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper. The writer predicts Santos will have 300 yards in the 1st qtr before sitting for the game. This game was added to the schedule late after Army backed out a reguarly scheduled game over the summer.

UNH should pad Ball's stats in the first quarter or so, but beyond that they shoud pull the starters. No sense getting any one injured on a meaningless game.

Iona's only chance to stop UNH's passing game would be the gametime arrival of some serious Gael force winds.

Thanks. I'm here all week.

This one is going to be UGLY even after our starters are pulled. UNH 1999's ironclad pick of the week is: UNH by 35. Talk about going out on a limb with that one.

only 35, that is not going out on a limb. UNH will win this thing by 50...if they don't, I would be shocked

I thought that UC-Davis was the replacement team after Army backed out,and that Iona was already on the schedule.

When I read his remarks regarding Iona being UNH's replacement team for Army, I also thought that was incorrect. I think the UL writer may have some of his facts wrong.

Iona should pull Jeff Ruland out of the stands, suit him up, and put him on the D-line! :p

You're right.I thought the same thing, and to satisfy my own curiosity, checked with media relations at UNH.It was UC-Davis.
