Surprised this even makes the news.
WINSTON-SALEM N.C. (AP) -- Golfer John Daly was taken into custody Sunday morning by Winston-Salem police after he was found drunk outside an area Hooters restaurant.
Police said in a statement Wednesday that said officers went to the restaurant on a medical call. When they arrived, Daly was being treated by emergency workers after losing consciousness.
While at the restaurant, police said Daly "appeared extremely intoxicated and uncooperative," refused repeatedly to be taken to the hospital and was asked to leave the restaurant by several workers.
Daly was taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center for a 24-hour stay, until he was sober

Wished I could have went to hooters that night, would have been entertaining.
According to people who called into a radio show this morning, he was with a country singer (Montgomery?), they got into an arguement or something and he left. Daly was passed out about 2am and wouldn't leave.

John Daly was voted by his senior class: "Most Likely to Pass Out Drunk Outside a Hooters."

Daly spent about a month in the area here this past summer supposive trying to get his life straightened out. He was playing golf daily at the C.C. my buddies belong to (my one friend played a round in the foursome behind John) in hopes of finding his game again. By all accounts he is friendly, likeable guy. I hate reading these train wreck stories - I actually feel bad for the guy. He's one sick dude. xsmhx
