Good coach, improved campus, improved facilities and a more realistic schedule.

Ohio wanted to lose that game so bad and kept giving Temple chances to take the lead, however, Temple also wanted to lose that game as well never capitolizing on all the opportunities. Until that second TD! Glad to see Temple being competitive again and actually winning some games. Now schedule UD and get that rivalry going again.

And somewhere along the way in the 2nd half I heard them say a Blue Hen was inside the Philly Phanatic. Is that still true? IIRC, Dave Nelson Jr. was the original person. Does he still wear the mascot suit? Has another UD alum taken over that role?

Box score says 18,824, but there was no way there was that many people there. Every shot of the stands showed empty seats, except the close up of the 20 Temple students in the endzone.

Truth be told, hard to say that Temple's program is any different than it has been for the past 10-20 years. Now, though, they just play in an easier conference (the MAC) and they can play an easier schedule. Plus they try to avoid playing FCS teams now so as to avoid the indignity of losing to them, although they have some games against nova in the future. Just chalk it up to finally finding a conference that plays at their level.

Based upon attendance rules, I agree. But if Temple can't be I-A, then they should drop football entirely.
